The Impact of Economic Development (Can you say Material Facts?)

 4 Hours – Continuing Education Elective 

This course will give Brokers a greater understanding of the process and activities associated with Economic Development in their real estate marketplace and therefore be better prepared to fulfill their fiduciary duties of discovery and disclosure when acting as a buyer’s or seller’s broker under NC License Law and NC Real Estate Commission Rules. With the significant escalation of economic development activity across North Carolina, this course will address a timely issue relevant to the real estate industry. 

As a result of taking this course, brokers will be better able to recognize the “red flags” associated with an economic development project that may give rise to potential material facts and enhance their understanding of how to discover the multitude of material facts that may be associated with the activities of economic development. This will be accomplished by an interactive analysis of a major economic development project in North Carolina.
